Julieta

SYNOPSIS

Julieta is a middle-aged woman living in Madrid with her boyfriend Lorenzo. After a chance encounter with her lost daughter’s best friend, Julieta moves back to her old home in the hope that her daughter will someday mail back to her.

Alone with her thoughts, Julieta starts to write out her memories of falling in love, having her daughter, and suddenly losing her on holiday, leaving Julieta desperate to understand why she went missing.

Julieta is a 2016 Spanish film written and directed by Pedro Almodóvar. It is based on three short stories from the book Runaway by Alice Munro.
