Letters Home

SYNOPSIS

Letters Home is a short film project, aimed at commemorating and remembering the Welsh soldiers who gave their lives during the First World War. The film has been written and produced by Jacqueline (Jaye) Swift of Llantwit Major, who was inspired to bring her idea to life after attending a World War One Battlefield Tour in Flanders in 2014.

The story follows three young soldiers writing what could be their final letters home before going over the top on the first day of the Battle of the Somme. Jaye has gathered together a local crew, and has cast actors from the South Wales region. Her story is about Welsh soldiers, and it is filmed entirely in Wales.
