Flicks in the Sticks Knighton

Situated on the Welsh border, 17 miles from the nearest big screen and 30 miles from the closest multiplex, Flicks in the Sticks at Knighton is a new venture under a scheme launched in September 2014 by Arts Alive.

Films have been shown roughly every fortnight, usually on Friday evenings but also occasional double bills on Sundays with a children’s film in the afternoon and more grown up fare in the evening.

‘Flicks, Knighton’ also produces locally made video shorts which are shown before the main feature. These have included Knighton Carnival 2014, The Tour of Britain cycling race as it passed through the town, and the horrific ‘Knick Knack, Paddy Waxed!’ starring a local hero getting a full body wax for charity!
