The following exhibitors received support from Film Hub Wales in 2017/18 for their Welsh Film projects:



The Phoenix, Ton-Pentre

The Phoenix screened a series of Welsh films as part of an audience development project which included 'Canaries', with a Q&A with actor/producer Craig Russell, hertiage documentary from the NSSAW, 'Research in the Rhondda', as part of the 70th anniversary of the NHS and documentary 'The King and Dai', about the Porthcawl Elvis Festival. 



Cardiff Mini Film Festival

Cardiff Mini Film Festival screened Welsh films Canaries and British Winters as part of their 2018 festival, with a Q&A with actor/producer Craig Russell from Canaries and Steve Swindon, Director of Tape Community for British Winters. 


Dinas Powys Community Cinema

Dinas Powys Community Cinema screened Welsh film Hedd Wyn, alongside a two course meal. The screening formed part of the Welsh language events taking place as part of the Dinas Powys commemorations of WW1 alongside a month of other Remembrance events.


Pontardawe Arts Centre

Pontardawe Arts Centre screened Canaries, which was filmed locally, with a Q&A with one of the cast/crew, in an attempt to attract a younger audience. 


Sinema Sadwrn

Sinema Sadwrn screened three documentaries about rural Wales; Sleep Furiously, Dial-a-Ride and A Good Bitch. They hoped to screen films that reflected the issues that faced their rural audience, in particular older people. All the films were bilingual. 


The Welfare

The Welfare screened Canaries, with a Q&A with cast and crew. This film screening enabled  community members to celebrate welsh film talent, which includes cast and crew from the area of Ystradgynlais and Wales wide, where the venue is located.
