FHW works with exhibitors to help bring film culture to rural and underserved locations.

We work with partners to produce research and resources, to better understand the current provision for rural screening in Wales and to assist in rural screenings in Wales. 

 

Cinema For All Equipment Hire Scheme       

The Equipment Hire Scheme is designed to help members who need to hire kit for pop up screenings.                                  

Rural Cinema Research

A Wales wide research project which aimed to build a picture of existing rural provision in Wales along with current funding opportunities and to identify and respond to the needs of existing practitioners.

Rural Community Cinema Events

Every year, Film Hub Wales teams with Flicks in the Sticks and Moviola to offer special sessions for rural community cinemas at Borderlines - Hay Festival of British Cinema. These events allow rural community cinemas from across Wales to network and share tips, ideas and experiences.

 Your Cinema, Your Community       

This report, prepared by Social Value Lab in partnership with Regional Screen Scotland, presents the findings of an exploratory study into the experiences and impact of local cinema in Scotland. It examines the work of a diverse group of twelve cinema exhibitors and explores the associated contribution to their audiences and communities.
