Sinemaes at the National Eistedfodd

Launched in 2016, Sinemaes is a very special space at the National Eisteddfod, offering an exciting programme of screenings of new and archive films, workshops for children, discussion panels, networking events and more - to promote Welsh screen content. 

Sinemaes is co-ordinated by BAFTA Cymru with the following partners: Into Film Cymru, RTS Wales, The National Screen and Sound Archive of Wales, Film Hub Wales, Chapter, BBC Cymru Wales, BFI NET.WORK, Gorilla and S4C. Additional content is provided by It’s My Shout, PICS Film Festival, Coleg Cenedlaethol Cymru and Cardiff Metropolitan University.
The tent is located next to the Senedd. All activities are free of charge unless otherwise stated in the activities programme.

Jerry The Tyke

Screening and workshop: Jerry the Tyke
Jerry the Tyke, Wales’ oldest animated cartoon character, is introduced to a brand new audience in this zany production with an electrifying musical score, composed and played live by Simon Lovatt. Jerry’s mischief and Mr Lovatt’s musical trickery combine to make an exciting, fast moving and hilarious show. Produced by Arad Goch Theatre Company who present theatre for families and young audiences all over Wales and abroad. Screened with the co-operation of the National Screen and Sound Archive of Wales, British Pathé and the support of Film Hub Wales.
