TAPE: Neighbourhood Cinema case study

In 2023, TAPE Community Music and Film launched a new cinema project called ‘Neighbourhood Cinema’ for audiences across North Wales. Specialising in creative inclusion, TAPE ‘co-created’ the project in collaboration with their Media Club – a safe and supportive space offering hands-on experiences to a cohort of people from across the local community.
The project initially tested screenings and workshops in Llanwrst but went on to establish partnerships and programmes with Mencap Môn and Llangoed Village Hall in Ynys Môn (Anglesey), The Luxor in Llanfairfechan and the Cinema Paradiso Club and Friday Film Club at TAPE’s base in Colwyn Bay.
