Iris Prize celebrates amazing LGBTQ+ film all year round. Over its 16 year history, Iris Prize has become a leading voice in championing LGBTQ+ short film, and a significant event in the British film festival calendar.

The Iris Prize LGBTQ+ Film Festival takes place in Cardiff, Wales, UK each October.

A BAFTA-qualifying festival for British film, Iris is also home of the Iris Prize £30,000 film award – the world’s largest short film prize. The award allows the winner to make a new short film.

Iris also runs LGBTQ+ film screenings, mini festivals and LGBTQ+ outreach projects throughout the year.
