Burning Skies

A selection of 5 short films about oil, climate and activism. Films can be booked as a package and include:

• Last Gasp (17 minutes)
  Sir David Suchet stars as an oil shareholder suddenly coming face to face with the consequences of his actions.
• Offshore (23 minutes)
  Offshore is a documentary that explores the coming energy transition for workers in the UK North Sea.
• Martha’s Delta (13 minutes)
  A hopeful film. Activist Martha Agbani has dedicated her life to restoring the damage to Niger Delta mangrove swamps from oil extraction.
• Pouring Water on Troubled Oil (26 minutes)
  British/Iranian director Naz Massouri discovered that in 1951 Welsh poet Dylan Thomas was asked by BP to script a film. Thomas writes poetically of his haunting journey into a world of oil, exploitation and corruption.
• The Shutdown (10 minutes)
  Multi award winner Writer Alan Bissett remembers his childhood growing up in the shadow of Scotland’s Grangemouth Refinery.
