When Lily and her family move to a small seaside town in Wales, she misses her friends, and life in the city. A walk on the beach changes everything as Lily makes a magical discovery that causes her to transform into a mermaid. What begins as every girl’s dream come true, becomes tricky as Lily grapples with keeping it a secret from her younger sister Sophie, who is obsessed with mermaids. Lily develops a fascination for the ocean and the creatures who live there. She becomes determined to protect them when a businessman makes plans that could devastate the sea that Lily has grown to love. A big-hearted, magical adventure about finding yourself, and discovering the courage to make waves when it counts.
