Inclusive Cinema Case Studies

Over the course of the Inclusive Cinema project between 2017-2023, we collated case studies from independent cinemas, film clubs and multi-arts venues across BFI FAN.

From R&D projects to pilot screenings for children with multi-sensory needs, symposiums on LGBTQ+ film, festivals raising awareness about living well with dementia and film clubs led by Black, Asian and minority ethnic d/Deaf audiences, much of the Film Audience Network’s membership – large and small – bring valuable film experiences and a slice of normal life to all people, whatever their protected characteristics.
