The Torch Theatre is a modern and vibrant centre for the arts which prides itself on extending a warm Pembrokeshire welcome to all visitors.

Established in 1977, The Torch Theatre is Pembrokeshire’s only professional theatre venue and arts complex, funded principally by the Cyngor Celfyddydau Cymru FAN BFI a Pembrokeshire County Council. The theatre was designed by local architect, Monty Minter, with one main auditorium of 297 seats at a cost of £500,000. The Torch Theatre now offers over 900 shows, films, art exhibitions and live broadcasts annually to audiences in excess of 70,000.

Following a £5.4 million refurbishment and extension project, it now consists of a 300 seat Main House, a 102 seat Studio Theatre, a bespoke art gallery, bar facilities and an attractive café – Café Torch. The venue has been transformed to create an accessible, comfortable and attractive place to enjoy entertainment and the arts, complete with state of the art digital cinema technology with 3D capabilities.

Torch Theatre – Young Film Ambassadors

Launching in March 2021, the Torch Theatre – Young Film Ambassadors is a fresh new scheme for those aged 14-18 in Pembrokeshire who are interested in film and cinema; giving opportunities for young people to watch a wider variety of films, to engage with great filmmaking and to develop a critical viewpoint so that they can learn and grow from those experiences.
