CARAD, Community Arts Rhayader And District, run Arts and Heritage projects in Mid Wales. They are inclusive and volunteer led supported by two part time administrative and finance staff. They have two converted industrial units in Rhayader, one is Rhayader Museum and Gallery and one is the Arts and Theatre building.

CARAD provides a creative hub which nurtures and showcases the area’s rich social and cultural heritage and celebrates their rural area and its natural history.
